Presentation of EcoBiz Platinum Award

BJH Controls is to be presented with the Platinum Award for environmental sustainability at the Maroondah civic offices on July 15th. The EcoBiz program was completed by us throughout 2008 and early 2009, and involved assessment of our energy useage and environmental management strategies over a period of time.

Platinum status was attained by reducing our energy useage, employing a range of sustainable practices and neutralising the calculated emissions relating to our energy and transport.

We believe we have a responsibility to give back more than we take, and this includes our relationship with our environment. Participation in the program provided many benefits to our business and increased all employees’ awareness that environmental sustainability need not cost any more, and our understanding that one company or even one person can make a difference.
